Dear friends and followers, welcome back to my channel!
On the 20th of February 2021, a United Boeing 777-200, registration N772UA performing flight UA-328 from Denver,CO to Honolulu,HI (USA) with 231 passengers and 10 crew, was in the initial climb out of Denver's runway 25 when the right hand engine's (PW4077) inlet separated associated with the failure of the engine. The crew declared Mayday reporting an engine failure. The aircraft stopped the climb at about 13000 feet, the crew requested to return to Denver after running the checklists. ATC offered any runway, they would make it happen. The aircraft returned to Denver for a safe landing on runway 26 about 23 minutes after departure. The aircraft stopped on the runway for a check by emergency services. Emergency services advised of an active fire within the right hand engine and extinguished the fire a few minutes later. The aircraft was subsequently towed off the runway to a remote parking stand, where passengers disembarked and were bussed to the terminal. There were no injuries.
The engine inlet fell into the neighbourhood of Broomfield,CO, located about 16nm west of Denver near 13th and Elmwood Street, the debris also struck through the roof of an adjacent house.
Broomfield police reported that although debris impacted the neighbourhood and damaged a number of homes, there were no injuries on the ground. The debris field expands over a nautical mile.
Ground observers reported hearing the sound of an explosion like bang, smoke and saw the debris falling down. The aircraft continued flying.

From 4:15 the tower has heard VERY CLEAR what is going on. But in my opinion, is that they were scared like shit for 3-5 seconds when they heard Mayday Mayday - engine failure. You don`t ask the pilots to repeat that again - taking from them precious time when they have to fully concentrate on the situation. This is not a joke. You just act!

Great video, but I must wonder considering the engine vibration and already having lost engine parts that someone didn't think that perhaps getting the plane on the ground should have been a higher priority.

Wonderful video. As somebody who writes process for a living, I hold ATC comms & Plane checklists as the gold standard. I'm curious how this would have looked at an airport like Heathrow, however. Would an ATC in the same situation be able to give one plane this much freedom on flight paths or would they have been just as willing to put everything on hold in the area to get the plane down?

I saw a comment of Monalisa Tinsley on the internet saying that there is a priest who help win the lottery from Africa, The first question i ask my self was why will he say this on the internet!!! because to me it was ridiculous to let people know about such secret. But i am a person who believe in spiritual powers because i have seen it work when i visited India years back. All i did was to give a try and truly i won $22 Million jackpot and my life has changed since i became a winner. I promise the priest that i will tell the whole world about him because he brought me out of bankrupt. I cant give the world money but i can give people a good advise to contact this good man for lottery help. I really love your channel and the videos you're doing, Joe, but I don't understand at all how you come to the conclusion at 10:40, I mean, that his voice is calm because the engine is secured and the only thing left is to communicate and land. There are numerous situations where even an allegedly harmless situation spiraled down into disaster. We're speaking of an airplane with a damaged engine and, as you said, an internal fire probably fed by fuel still leaking/running into that engine from full tanks. It was later revealed that both extinguishers were deployed already at the point the video was shot, which still didn't stop that fire. I wouldn't make such broad guesses from radio communications. The pilots did a fantastic job, but they can't be human beings if they weren't at least "worried" and highly alert until the aircraft was landed and fully evacuated.

Maybe on of the best explanations on aviation matters I have seen in a very long time. Factual, no drama but clear cut. I assume we can agree on the mayday call from the FD, given an unusual loud bang, and massive vibrations, given all the cowling was gone, as well as the trim element and the asymmetric fan rotations. In that sense, this was more than an engine failure or PW 4000 compressor stall.

Pratt & Whitney Dependable Engines! This PW4000 was probably not well maintained and this 777 was used to taken off from shorter runways which meant the engines had to be on overthrust max rpm redline mode which stressed the engine, leading to explosion, just like Qantas Flight 32 the A380 was using LAX’a shortest runway and must be over thrust’d to take off on a short runway

This was a false flag event. Jet engines have fire suppression sys in case of engine Failure. The wings hold ALL of the fuel so a fire there is never good. Also, how would the face cowling fall off intact without being shredded or at least BREAKING in half??? the cowling is riveted to the engine across the entire face, for that to happen it would have to shake all of the rivets loose and somehow come forward over the engine against the force of the Wind.... Doubtful. Seem more of a coded comms.. * Engine Failure on the Right Side. *

Look up ETOPS. In laymen's terms the planes can only fly routes that it is certified to be able to fly for the amount of time it takes to get to the nearest airport and land safely with one engine. Twin engine jets such as the 777 can fly almost 6 hours on a single engine. On a route to say Hawaii the flight time between a airport on the west coast and the islands of Hawaii are typically around 5-6 hours so at no point would the aircraft be more distance away from its nearest airport than the plane can safely fly on one engine. I hope that makes sense, I'm not the best at explaining stuff.
