Great memories. She died many years ago. However, so long as Jeopardy was on the air with Alex I felt like part of that time still lived. RIP Alex...

Watching Jeopardy was and always will be my favorite thing to do daily with my family. It wasnt until I saw this tribute on tv that I realized how important and amazing Alex Trabek was. He had such a warm and inviting force about him that he felt like more than just a TV host. He'll be deeply missed.

I'm very glad that his final taping message didn't go like this: Ladies and Gentlemen this is a difficult thing for me to say but today i am saying my final goodbye it has been an amazing journey but i must go thank you all , my time has come and I'll see you in the great beyond. Trebek is the only celebrity I've actually mourned, I've been watching this show since I was a young one with my dad probably 20 years

This is an awesome tribute to Alex Trebek right here. Now, I would like to say a few words or so in regards to my favorite game show host and such. To me, Alex Trebek was awesome and he did a wonderful job being the second host of Jeopardy after Art Fleming. Last week on January 8, 2021, I finally took the chance to watch Alex Trebek host his very final episode of Jeopardy before his unexpected death happened on November 8, 2020. He had taped his final Jeopardy episode on October 29, 2020 and it was the very last time that Alex Trebek was on the Jeopardy program. That final Jeopardy episode may have been a great show but it was very hard to watch among all of us Jeopardy fans. It was very emotional and heartfelt at the same time. Sadly, there will never be another one like him because Alex was very unique and special. Not only was Alex Trebek the host of Jeopardy but he also became a pop culture icon. He did not just host Jeopardy but he also hosted a number of other various game shows including High Rollers, The Wizard Of Odds, To Tell The Truth, Double Dare, Battlestars and Classic Concentration. He also guest hosted Wheel Of Fortune one time as well because Jeopardy and Wheel Of Fortune were sister shows in which they still are today. As a longtime Jeopardy fan myself, I am deeply saddened and hurt to say that there will never be any more brand new seasons or episodes of Jeopardy with Alex Trebek in it ever again because of his untimely death last year in 2020. However, the show must definitely go on as Alex Trebek himself had wanted that. This week, I have watched Ken Jennings host Jeopardy as the first interim guest host and he has proved that Jeopardy can be Jeopardy without Alex Trebek. There will also be a series of new interim guest hosts on Jeopardy before a permanent one is announced soon. Just like Ken Jennings had said that no one can replace the late great Alex Trebek but all of us can honor him by playing the game that he loved hosting for over 3 decades. Originally, Alex Trebek was contracted to host Jeopardy until 2022 but he passed away unfortunately before he could complete his contract. Otherwise, the final Jeopardy episode that Alex had hosted for the very last time was very hard to watch and it was very heartbreaking. This tribute video that is on here was a part of that final Jeopardy episode and it features a montage of Alex Trebek's career as a Jeopardy host over the years. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end as Alex Trebek's era of Jeopardy is over now. The only thing that makes me happy about all of this is that Alex Trebek had his fun as a Jeopardy host from 1984 to 2020 and he is in a better place now. Other than that, this is my tribute to Alex Trebek and the Jeopardy program. Alex, wherever you are right now, thank you for everything. We love and miss you every day as you will be dearly missed. So long, Alex. Goodbye and farewell to you. May you rest in peace.

An interesting thing I found out today. Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, who also played Blossom in the 1990's, is going to be a guest host on Jeopardy. She said that her name was once a clue, she has always been a fan of Jeopardy, and she is glad to have been asked to be a guest host. I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I think she would be a perfect permanent host of the show. What does everyone else think?

Such a wonderful tribute! He may not have written the clues, but Alex certainly brought a new sense of charm and personality to a show that Merv Griffin was proud to bring to television in 1960s, though Alex did not host until the show returned in 1984. From that time to his death as host, 36 years is an amazing track record, and that's probably an understatement. Alex wasn't just the host of Jeopardy!, he was a television legend, a gentleman, a husband, a father, but overall a wonderful person. Without a shadow of the doubt, he will be missed.

My grandparents and my dad are Italian immigrants, and, particularly my grandma and my dad, don't speak or understand English very well. But every night, we would watch Jeopardy together. You would think that a show whose sole purpose is to ask and stump contestants with difficult questions would stop a non-English speaking family from watching the show, but I honestly believe we watched it because of our fellow Canuck and gentleman, Alex Trebek. Every night that I watch it with my grandma now, she brings up how it is so sad that he is gone or how amazing it was that he said he was going to fight and continue hosting until the end. We love you and miss you Alex. My 86 year old Nonna too.
