@Cedars Lebanon It’s a documentary not fiction - the narrator would narrate what is witnessed by the crew - right after the narrator talks about timmys penchant to not hesitate to accelerate and run down kangaroos with his car, Timmy talks about “finding the kangaroo and putting it in his car... cook it..eat it”. It is clear that the documentary is stating that Timmy runs down kangaroos, it this is not actually what they witnessed they shouldn’t have stated i, it would also be a really weird thing for them to make up. But i doubt that on those less travelled tracks Timmy is finding someone else’s fresh road kill and taking it home to dinner.

My dad was the first Aussie in NSW outback to drive a road train.... he parked it in this street cos he couldn’t drive it in our crescent. There was about 20 blokes all looking over the truck before he left. Pretty cool eh?

I remember this kind of terrain very well whilst Jackerooing in Western Queensland in the middle of a big drought back in 1966. The dirt road was great until the rain eventually arrived and boy did it arrive! Keeping even a 4x4 going was quite a challenge and even the horses had limited range. Anyone could find themselves pretty much stranded for quite a while unless you could move in the mud.
